Writing letters of recommendation is an important part of my job, and I genuinely enjoy bragging about my students. If you are thinking about requesting a letter from me, please consider the following:

• What grade(s) did you receive in my class(es)?

• Have I worked with you on a research project?

• Am I your advisor?

• Have you developed a professional connection with me (even if your grades aren't great)?
